I am disappointed by the way MTN is handling this issue. This could be addressed in a win-win situation. TMobile is a BEE company run by some boy who is under thirty, young for someone who did not get the exposure of running a business, but trying to earn a living and employ other people. MTN could have faciliotated the refund to all "robbed" and support this BEE. To err is human guys.If BEE companies are not going to be allowed to learn, this transformation will never take place. Bear in mind there are lots of graduates who are unemployed and are petrified to start businesses because the law is directly or indirectly zero tolerance to mistakes.

For information TMobileSA and Mr Lebepe continue to not respond apart from legal action against individuals and also now against MTN. Why are they hiding and even while they aware if the web postings and potray themselves as social media and communication they do not provide their side of the story. However they have put in writing that they made an "error" and will refund direct and indirect cost? But talk is cheap and maybe they just looking at other ways to take advantage of the public! MTN is taking action and their management are clear on resolving. Vodacom seems to have blocked TMobile already. MTN SP are also proactive and open in communication. Autopage I'd listening but yet to take positive action however management has agreed to a meeting on Monday. We still do not know where TMobile obtained our information from or any resolution what is preventing similar incidents in the future. Do please keep your complaints coming and do not forget to copy!

Hi all See the latest on MTN is finally doing something - Autopage nothing - suspect that. Roger I will call you as also have a crusade against Mr Botha Lebepe and his cronies. I am tired of the lies and people with egos that feel they can take whatever they want! Send correspondence to - but also keep the complaints and demands going to Mr Botha Lebepe - - he is reading his email and I hope he likes cell mates as that is where he belongs!

What on earty is this Tmobile? i got an sms saying my accout has been debited with R5 for inspirational qoutes that i never recived and thus i never gave Autopage(my service provider)authority share and distribute my number i called 0861876566 a number i got from Autopage and their lines are constantly dropping and what pisses me of is that Autopage is not lifting a finger to solve this problem and we must continue focking money for services not received.THIS IS JUST BULL SHT

I am leading a personal crusade against Tmobiles. Today I found their REAL physical address. The boss's first name is "Botha". Their physical address is ROSEN OFFICE PARK, Corner Invicta and Matuka Street, Midrand. Lay a charge of fraud. MTN and Autopage just wipe their backsides on the problem...try calling them. Or call me Roger 083 226 8656

I received the exact same sms and got the same telephone number from MTN. I just phoned the number, but was placed on hold for a long time as their lines was busy, but eventually put the phone down. I have never in my life subscribed for anything on my cell phone as I know these people just keep on collecting money from you and to stop them aren't easy. I also cannot recall ever receiving any inspirational message. They can make thousands by debiting each and every person with R5. They should be stopped.

  • Jeanne 3 May 2011, 09:07 AM

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. I called MTN to have it stopped and they are aware of the problem and are handling this as a general fault. Obviously hundreds, even thousands of customers have been affected! MTN advised me that my number had been added to their fault and that the R5 would be refunded!

  • Plaisier P 2 May 2011, 08:13 PM

I received the same sms message on 01/05/2001. I also, did not subscribe to TMobiles in any form or manner whatsoever, nor did I authorise that my MTN account be debited by R5.00

  • Wayne3 1 May 2011, 04:42 PM

See comments on The only cause of action is to get MTN, Autopage to react and stop supporting these criminals. Also look at the clients the company uses and blacklist them for supporting criminals! Let us vote with our feet and not support them with legal money!

  • Username1049 1 May 2011, 11:19 AM

I received the same thing this morning, R5 debited for "Inspirational quotes". Phoned MTN and they've stopped the subscription, but say it's near impossible to get your money back. MTN gave me this number to call: 0861 876 566 Will call in the new week. This is completely unacceptable and I'm incredibly pissed off!!
