OLX / Grumtree / Junkmail Fraud

Mr Keith B (Cell phone 0733572010) / email address Keithb@executivemail.co.za wanted to buy a water chiller from us (50.000 Rand). We had this offer in OLX / Gumtree and Junkmail. He phoned us and wanted immediately our banking details via phone without seeing the product. When we asked him for his email address or to send us via his cellphone his contact details he was very rude. We sent him the banking details and he sent us the same day a proof of payment from Nedbank (paid by TSW Mining Services (Pty) Ltd. The POP was for 55.000 Rand. On his email he sent us following number was there 0638310261. He phoned us the same day and wanted to collect the water chiller next day. My husband told him that we first go to the bank, draw the money and then he could come to pick up the Chiller.
Never heard from him again. Needless to say that no money arrived ever!!

Thanks for the post. This guy tried the same scam with me. He sent through proof of payment too without coming to look at the goods. I saw your report though and have told him to get lost.

Dear DS26, thanks a lot. Its a pleasure that with our experience we made, we could help you. I also googled his number and email address. I didn't pitch up, but then I saw this platform and here we are. Stay safe. Peba

The same happened to me. He phoned me yesterday regarding my ad on Gumtree and also demanded my bank details so that he can deposit the money immediately without seeing the product. He phoned me again today with the same number mentioned above. I told him that I want to send him photos of the product so that he can see what he wants to buy. Also gave me the same email address mentioned above. Luckily I googled his email address because it was too good to be true en something did not feel right and came accross this article. Thank you Peba. Andre91073 hope you pulled out with this deal and that he didn't scam you.

This guy contacted me today as well, definitely a fraudster I don't think I will get my money either! Told him that the money must reflect in my bank account before I release the vehicle. He sent me proof of payment but it looks suspect.
