The Incident |

A man who beat his dog to death in
Witbank at the weekend is appearing in the town's magistrate's court
today.
Inspector Ian Lombard from the Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals visited the house and found the dog.
He said men were intoxicated when he arrived at the house.
"When I arrived there I was met by two people on the property.
They were intoxicated. I asked the gentleman if he did hit his dog to
death, and he acknowledged that he did," said Lombard.
