On 6 May 2015 a certain Pastor Victor Soya from the Faith Apostolic Church in Philippi contacted us to hire 150 plastic chairs. It was an urgent order. I was provided with a Quotation and minutes later we received the Proof of Payment. Within an hour a driver arrived to collect the chairs that were ordered. By the next day the money did not clear into our bank account. I contacted the Pastor and he apologised profusely. Two days later, the chairs were still not back to our premises. From then on, I was not able to reach the Pastor again. Went out to Phillipi and where the Church was supposed to be - empty land.
Yesterday, 25 August 2016 a Pastor Leon Ndlovu contacts me with exactly the same scenario. I received an order form from him this time. On this document appeared the name Victor Soya and of course Warning Bells went off in my head. I sent the necessary quotation. This morning, I received a proof of payment, again from ABSA. I went to ABSA to be told that the proof of payment is false. I then requested a copy of his ID. I had this authenticated by Accountability - False. I then typed in the Company Registration Number into Google, and suddenly all these reports come up of other company names with the same number - all fraud cases and theft cases.
I spoke to an Inspector at our local police station and was informed that it is useless to try and pursue this kind of thing, as these guys move So quickly, that they are not able to get to them.
