Dod found emaciated beyond anything we've seen

I came home from the shops and it was dark, then I saw this dog (called Storm) that was emaciated beyond anything I have come across in my life.

He was so aggressive, so we barricaded him in, after I fetched my partner from the farm to come help, and we left food water and a blanket with him the next morning first thing we went to him and it was as if a calmness came over him as he just subdued to us as if he knew we saving him, we took him straight to the vet where even the vet said he has not ever seen a dog that thin, he too was diagnosed with Billiary and had we not found him when I did, he would have been dead two days later.

We found him close to our farm, Klapmuts, in the road Anyswortelrug. He had been living in a storm water drain there for about 4 months according to the vet on his condition.

He has picked up 4kgs and he is an amazing dog and I am glad I could change his life for him.

Hi Debbie, Thanks so much to you and the other 5 members for signing the petition! After reading the emails between Etienne and AACL (JHB branch?) I got SO ANGRY because as Etienne mentioned, they specifically said they do not take part in any petitions and it made no sense to me!!! I don't no the reason why, but to me it seems that they don't want to get AACL's name involved if things get heated? All we asked of them, as we did of other organisations, was for the individuals to sign to increase the number and hopefully make a difference. This is not some pointless email being sent around that gets lost in the system! I think it is very selfish of them and it made me regret supporting them!! I am glad to see that it does not include ALL AACL branches!! Thanks again, Natalie

Hi Debbie, Natalie is my girlfriend and I told her about the emails that went around with AACL. AACL clearly stated in a last email to me that they "do not take part in any Petitions". Etienne

Hi Natalie, I am part of the AACL in Port Elizabeth and I plus 5 other committee members that I know of, from our AACL have signed this petition!! We have been fighting for prosecution against animal abuse for years now! I have also forwarded the email on to all in my contacts. Thank you for helping Storm, you have done a great job!!

thank you for saving a life- even a dgs life is very important - i cannot understand how people think that animals dont have feelings or are playthings -if God had to choose between humans and animals I am sure he'd choose the animals - i wish more people would realize that without animals - the human race would not be the same.

Natalie I agree with you that all the groups wanting to help animals should try and work together for the common good and forget about the "politics" which seems to creep in everywhere or is possibly an ego issue!!!!! However, thank God Storm was found by the people he was and not by some other group as I am sure that 1st step for a lot of them would have been to put him out of his misery. From recent pictures he is looking a lot better in comparison although I am sure he still has a long way to go.

Thank you, wonderful people, for making the effort to save Storm. May you be eternally blessed for this wonderful deed. Animal lovers - sign the petition. Let us get these bastards behind bars and punish them for treating animals cruelly. Try every day to instil in others that animals need to be treated with kindness and love!
