I received a message from cell no 072 071 6897 - reading the following: CONGRATULATIONS? YOUR SIM CARD HAS WON R995,000 AND NOKIA N8 NOKIA YEARLLY PROMO WITH TICKET NO (NK72K) CALL MR JOHN 0781570665 TO ACTIVATE UR TICKET NO. After calling and wanting my ticket no he ask me to call back in 5 min, has to check my ticket no - surely this is a scam and the Cell no can be traced - why did we RICA??

Same happend to me 10min ago, even send me n proof of certificate of my winnings and coppy of insurance broker with his bank details so I can pay in a insurance sum of 2,850 rand befor mone of 150.000 can be releace.

I received the following mail today. I am sure that it is related to the other reports on this site.
“Congratulation! Your mobile no has won R450,000.00 on Nokia Promotion with ticket no 0166p for claim call Mrs Lucia Khumalo on 0784720041from 9am to 5 pm.”

The message came from 0713412300
So why did we have to Rica if cell from crime is still rife....

On the 24 feb 2012 I recieved an sms saying I have won R250,000 aqnd I must go and purchase a telkom voucher to the value of R200 and call them to follow the instruction as how to claim ,whe I ask too many question the man who pretended to be a lady called Vanessa started getting very angry with me,I called nokia and telkom to confirm the about the competition,they it is a scam,SOUTH AFRICA BEWARE

She needs me to buy R275 airtime, then call her and give her the pin number for her to load the airtime, then she will call me back to get my details of where she needs to send the CHEQUE to.
