Received an sms from no. 081 737 4048 to say, congratulations you have won R 95 000 and a laptop in the Rica yearly promotion. Your reference no (SA012) for claim call 0789-998-696.
I called, and they asked for my mobile no, which province I live in and my name. And I was told that they need to confirm the reference number and they will call me back in 5 minutes. |

I also receive an sms that i won R120 000. i call them told them about the message that they send me they i have won they want my bank account i didn't give to her. her want my address i give to her. she said they will contact me tomorrow to give me the details.

I also received an sms stating, congratulation you have win R95 000 and a laptop in the Rica Yearly Promotion. Your Ref No. SA75 for claim and activat call thembeka 0738881191. I was sceptical when I received the messages and decided to google rica to verify authenticity instead.

I recieved an sms saying my sim number has won a rica online promotion of R350 000 from 0813271748 and to call mrs caroline on 0734025058 to claim the price. I called mrs caroline and gave her my details. after a min i recieved an sms from 0799627452 instructing me to deposit R2450.00 for the release of the cash price and a laptop and to call frank on 0739952885. I called frank and asked him a lot of questions and he became annoyed until he swore at me. I googled rica to find out about this promotion. I discovered that there are also a lot of similar complaints.

Recieved the same sms From 081 297 1878 saying I have won R199 000 in rica Promotion and that I must Call Rita At 073 237 2988. When I phoned she Said I must Sms my Details with a R180 MTN Airtime Voucher Pin to finalise the Promotion and then the money will be in my acount the next day. I didn't replay anything.

I must say this RICA yearly promotion it really got me jumping up and down i was told that i won 195.000 and a laptop then gave them a call 2 claim my price but was told 2 buy 180.00 airtime then give her the pin and all my details and that made me 2 be suspicious so i searched more about them on the net only 2 find out their well known for their scam glad that i researched first about them!!

i got a sms - congratulations! your cell no was selected in RICA and has won R 650 000.00 in cash. From RICA promotions. Ref nr R333c) call MR BONGANI on 0789447159 for claim, I called and he wanted all my info said for the money to be paid cash to me I need to pay them R 1800 on bank fees. when I called him back and asked him to rather send a cheque he said that I need to pay over R 1550 for the delivery of the cheque - I asked him where he is so he gave me an address of 123 Church street Cape Town - i googled the address and find a church there. I did however gave him my bank details ( and after speaking to him and finding out that this is a scam I called my bank and closed my account ) when I asked him I need some ligit information via email he confirmed that they are a ligit compony working with the saps and i dont need to worry. so I demanded a email send and still waiting for same. luckely both calls to him was recorded and have same as evidance.

I phoned ... was asked the ref no and told to phone back in 2 minutes as they had to verify my claim ....
