I am looking for a small truck of 1.5 ton capacity. I found one advertised at JFK Motors, Albert Street George 6529. A Kia 2700, model 06 with 156000 kms. The price advertised is R 64000. After a short talk with the shop owner we agree that the truck can be sold for the 64000 and I say that I'll take it. I ask then what sort of guarantee the seller will give me, he answers after a few seconds "500 kilos , man". I then ask about the consumer protection act that requires 6 months. Getting angry he replies that in that case, if I need those 6 months his price will go up to R 75000.
I believe that this is very illegal and wish to know what can be done to prevent and in this case to punish the gulty party of such reprehensible conduct.
Awaiting for yiour soonest return.
