Deducting airtime money illegaly


There is a company called smart call tech email:info@smartcalltech.co.za. i sent a refund request to this email and email: Cathrine@smartcalltech.co.za> refered me to a UK company called Wapbill email:support@wapbill.net>. wapbill sims to be the billing contractor for smart call tech. They claimed i accessed thier web and subscribed for adult content which cost R20 a day and they claim they sent the content to my phone inwhich i never recieved either to prove thier claim. now they nolonger respond to my email. Please Please anybody help. Stop these peaple. They stealing using white collure system. Please stop them.

    Have been ripped for R3500!! This is Highway robbery. Allready requested refund and complained to WASPA. There must be a way to stop this stealing orgy!!They also quickly offered me a partial refund, but I never subscribed in the first place. Why does nobody with authority do something?Surely ICASA or some sort of governing body can see that customers are being ripped?

    Weird they did same with me took off R1620 and as a gesture of goodwill I did not have to pay the R640 ... and then they tell me I bought content for R1000 that is ridiculous - still waiting for them to refund me the R1000

    jeez this ppl are really taking our money neh.. apparently I owe the R595 and wen I follow up to see what dd I sign to accept their terms & c I wastold I purchased something worth 780 and I paid 320 but as a gesture of goodwill he will cancel the remaining 460 and I will not pay it.. WTF I don't owe them a single cent

    I lost R504 apparently I downloaded mobthumbs. I did not subscribe to anything and I did not get anything in return the money. I am trying to get a refund. My service provider is cellc they must be in on this. Cellc should offer to refund their subscribers.

    i lost R60.00 airtime on my cellc no last week.when i contacted cellc customer care i was told it was a matter not related to cell and there was nothing they could do to stop smartcall from deducting my airtime..i hv since thrown away that sim card and bought another cellc sim,i loaded my airtime and within seconds R20.00 was deducted,with mobthumb messege appearing on my foun again!!!i m very dissapponited with cellc

    The same thing happened to me. I tried to call their so-called helpline at 10am today and they said they were closed, their working hours are "between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday". Anyway, I followed the voice prompts to unsubscribe - will see how that pans out. But I am absolutely disgusted by these people. Scammers! scum of the earth!

    Hi I was just browsing through my cell phone and all of a sudden got a measage from mobthumbs.com telling me I subscribed to them and they going to deduct R20 a day. I never subscribed to anybody. How do I astop this and get my money back as I see on my balance money has been deducted. Please help. Roy

    Exactly the same happened to me yesterday. I did not subscribe at all and also never click on websites I don't know. They took 40 Rand airtime just like that. I am a cell c costumer and want my money back because this is clearly a security gap from the mobile providers ....

    I didn't not subscribe to mobthumb,I loaded R10 airtime on my phone,made just one col,then my balance was at R9.15....I received an sms from them,that the subs are at R20 a day,for what?I didn't subsribe to such things,worse still the phone that I'm using on that line doesn't support Internet....

    The same thing happened to me. When I confronted them they promised to refund me R 940 and said it would take 10 working days to reflect. This is the 14th day and they have stopped answering my mails. I think it is time for Carte Blanche to give them a call.

    R1,040 is how much I got abused for! Cancelled subscription successfully. Lodged complaint with http://www.waspa.org.za. Waiting to see if anything comes of this. Its interesting to see that the Wapbill.net company is in the UK and the contact number is in Cape Town!
