RICA YEAR END PRIZE

I received an sms on my cellphone: Network Notification. You have won R195,000 in the RICA end of year promotion. Phone Mr Philip to claim your prize. I phoned and a man with a Nigerian accent told me I had won the prize of R195,000.00 and a laptop: an HP BV6 2007 - it was a bad line so I couldn't hear very well. His phone number is 081 739 3336. he mentioned something about my banking details and I replied I would never divulge my banking details. he then said he would need an amount of R950.00 deposited into his bank account to pay for the insurance for the goods to be delivered to my home address from Cape Town. I asked him which Courier service, to which he replied: Speed Services. He gave me 2 references of 2 people who had received their prizes yesterday: a Mrs Botha at 071 832 3446 and a Mr Lepoliswa at 081 7792 306. When I phoned the first number, I got thru to a man who also sounded Nigerian, who couldn't answer my questions and dropped the phone. When I phoned back it went straight to messages. So I phoned Mr Phillip again and he said PLEASE, I must try and phone Mrs Botha again. he also gave me his company registration number: 88SA11012.So I phoned "Mrs Botha" again who answered the phone sounding very much like a Nigerian lady. She said she didn't answer the phone earlier, it was her husband. She confirmed she did receive the prize. I asked her how long she had lived in SA and she insisted she had been born here and lived in the Eastern Cape. I have come to understand that things which sound too good to be true, often are exactly that! So I am reporting this scam in the hope that other people will not be conned. I sincerely hope you are able to catch these guys!

Hello - just received the same message from exactly Mr Philip - but this time R295,000. What a bargain! So I looked up to see if it is a scam! He is obviously still operating! Got to catch this man!
