The picture has been loaded on Facebook on Philip De Bruyn's page. I don't have any specifics about the incident but the registration number is very clear - FSP 894 NW. It looks like a charcoal Isuzu double cab. Please find this cruel person and make him pay for being so cruel!!!

It is absolutely shocking, how can someone do such a thing to a poor innocent doggy. Shame a animal can't speak. I really hope the trash that did it, will be punished for the crime he did. Not jail or bail, that's to easy, he should feel punishment for the way the poor doggy had to suffer. He's a low class asshole...

  • Lillian4 11 Jan 2013, 04:58 PM

He should be stood infront of a wall ans stonned to death. He is honestly a sick sick man. I received a different address so if anyone goes to his house make sure you have the right person. And if this was photoshop. What sick person would even think of doing that to a helpless dog To John... I don't even think tying a dog up like that is right. The dog should let in the house or put in a room. I do hope the mother....er is caught and brought to justice. Sick idiot!!!!!

I think that this was a mistake. If you take into consideration that this occurred on New Years day, I think it is possible that the owner tied their dog to the tow hitch of their car to make sure that it didn't run away. New Years eve is probably the single most common day in this world for dogs to run away due to fireworks. I imagine the dog owner then completely forgot about the dog the next morning when they got in their car...Still, the owner should have reported the incident as soon as they had realised what they had done. Just a possible scenario

Hi Link to the article on News24 below. Rustenburg SPCA is investigating but then I also heard via the grapevine that it is a hoax so not sure what the current status is http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Dogs-body-dragged-behind-bakkie-20130108

  • Sarah9 9 Jan 2013, 12:39 PM

We have the details, can the police or SPCA do anything here? I heard via the grapevine that someone is investigating, but is this true? Surely there have to be extremely harsh penalties for this. What can be done?

  • Sunet 9 Jan 2013, 11:22 AM

Owner of the vehicle is Mr SGT Mmebe. ID number 710406 6079 081. 5 Cassie Avenue, Geelhoutpark, Rustenburg

Does anyone know if anything has been done as yet? Or if he has been caught? May he rot in hell.

  • Jennifer4 9 Jan 2013, 08:29 AM

This person needs to be removed from society. If he could do this to an innocent animal, imagine what else he is capable of!!!!

  • Terence 2 8 Jan 2013, 08:52 PM

Something needs to be done about this!!

  • Unknown 8 Jan 2013, 03:12 PM
