Samson’s plight is just one of thousand’s, probably millions. His needs were simple : Food, water, a safe and dry place to sleep. At best, a little love and
But as with the millions of others across the world, his needs were ignored. I could write a long, sad story about this dog. I won’t.
Regardless of his history, he landed in our shelter on 29 March 2010, having been rescued by an ‘angel’. He was too weak to stand, let alone lift his head. It’s still possible that he may die even now. He was taken immediately to our vet who placed him on a drip. His system while weak from starvation, also has to fight errlychia.
Why am I trying to save this dog while I am forced to euthanase so many others, including healthy dogs? It’s a good and a fair question and there is no easy, understandable answer for this. Samson has the gentlest nature. He loves to be touched even though he can barely respond - (although on Friday
afternoon, he’s strength was enough to allow him to thump his tail a few times).
Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but for now, I desperately need sponsors to help fund his veterinary bill.
If you are able to help, please either deposit funds into the below account with ref : Samson, or phone me on 082 725 4213.
With thanks for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely, Julia Evans.
