We were looking for a pekingese puppy and found a site run by a Mr Juan Muller of Uppington. He gave us a very comprehensive response e-mail detailing the age, vaccination and training the pup had received so far. He gave us banking details to deposit the R2500 into at ABSA Bank in his name. We did an EFT the same night, next morning we received another e-mail saying he wouldnt send the pup till he had received the payment,he then said if we would do a deposit via an FNB acc he would send the pup immediatley and refund us the ABSA monies when they appeared. We did so but became uneasy when the facts didn't add up. We received an e-mail detailing the pups travel ittenerary from Uppington to Jhb and then on to PE. I called SAA freight to check on the flight details & arrival time.they informed me that they close at 14:00 hrs and our pup/parcel wouldnt be offloaded as a result. This is when Mr Lurwick Junior Harris (ID # 7501115157083) came on the scene,he told us our pup's crate had failed the minimum requirements and we must pay a further R2000 for another crate,I told him that this is a scam,he put the phone down and thats when all communication ceased. FNB fraud line were not at all helpfull and declined any assistance whatsoever. Please folks dont fall prey to these unscrupulous characters, all of whom have foreign accents. Rather go via the KUSA website and find a reputable breeder who is not going to rip you off. I had a gut feel about this and didn't heed it. Dont be like us and let these guys steal your money.
