Scam, Fraud

I purchased an item off www.soundworldsa.info
They advertise DJ equipment so I purchased a pioneer ddj t1 which costs R5800.
They told me I would receive my item the next day.
The next day they told me my item is being held in customs and I will have to pay an extra R2650 to release the item and for them to deliver on time.
I refused as this was not the agreement on my invoice, my invoice stated I had free shipping.
I then asked for a refund and they told me It would take 7days for the refund. I accepted the 7day refund.
7days past and i still didnt receive my refund of R5800.
I then contacted them and they just ignored me or they would cut me off when I phoned them.

I just want my money back and want to stop them from scamming other people.

The exact same thing happened to me. I found the company on OLX and it was called Techworld Electronics. I was communicating with a guy by the name of Rueben Rayan. They steal company details and individuals ID numbers to provide fake company registration numbers and fraudulent bank accounts. Because I work for a bank, I was able to monitor the activity of the bank account to which the money was deposited. Immediately after transferring the money via EFT, they withdraw every cent and leave the account dormant. Fortunately, some of these accounts have been identified and frozen pending the investigation outcome. Unfortunately, the money will never be refunded by neither the bank nor the fraudsters. I share my experience with deep sadness because other than the R11 250 I have lost, the incident has further drifted away my chances of rekindling my teenage years of playing house music on vinyl. I have to wait again for a while, save and sacrifice a lot more in order to buy a dj set brand new technologically advanced equipment from a physical store that grants a warranty and product guarantee. Trying to save a few bucks has left me with absolutely nothing. Don't fall for this trap.

Internap is the company hosting their website btw. I did a little sleuthing and found them. It also looks like SoundWorld have websites like this in a few other countries. So sad that this is how people make a living these days. But I learned a good lesson from them, if the price seems too good to be true.. It IS! Hope yoy guys google websites with the added word SCAM before ordering online again like this. Best of luck!

Hey guys I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal. I was scammed by these guys last month. I am trying to get their website shut down. I'd really appreciate it if you could email noc@internap.com and ask them too to shut down the website. Tell them what happened to you and hopefully we can stop other people from losing their hard earned money to these scumbags. Thanks for your help guys!!
