"Dead" domestic worker SCAM

I think the dead domestic worker scam is on again. On Wednesday 8th Sept my daughter was phoned by a male to asked for Pauline (the domestic worker) and said he was from Dept of Labour. Would not give her his name to her, however. On Sunday 12th my wife received a call from "Johannes" who was "Pauline's brother" saying she had died in a car crash and the family needed assistance. My wife was shocked and said she would phone him back and he gave number (0820687919). She phoned back and he replied. I, meanwhile, was phoning Pauline who was alive and well. Before I could intercede he had hung up. Can you advise? I would like to report it but my experience of going to a charge office and opening a case is not a happy one. Suggestions?

Very interesting. A year ago a man clamming to be the brother phoned us to say that our domestic worker died in a car crash and that he need money for the funeral. We did phone our domestic worker's sister and found out she was alive and well. The man hung up.
