Today, whilst driving down the Glen (the steep Kloof Nek section of road proceeding into Camps bay) I was intimidated by a driver behind me who appeared out of nowhere and proceed to hoot and swerve out behind me into on coming traffic, urging me to drive faster. The driver in question is a middle aged female driver, and proceeded to do this whilst handling a cell phone too.
She continued to hassle me, hooting, swerving out dangerously, but I was adhering to the speed limit as the road is very windy and steep and has many blind corners. It is only a single lane road, with a solid white line, so passing was impossible and there was no place to pull over to let her pass. I couldn't have pulled out as she was right on my bumper anyway, not keeping a safe distance. The driver in front of me was also adhering to the limit due to the nature of the road. I was frightened that she would cause an accident involving us due to her aggressive and wreck less behavior.
She then proceeded to overtake us both at once, swerving out in an aggressive fashion, over a solid line single carriage way, and proceeded to shout and wave her hands at us for the way in which we were driving.
I followed her to get this picture and when I found her at the corner of church and main road sea point she was still texting on her phone while driving.
She may have been intoxicated.
