Fraud-OLX Morris Motsepe

Hi,Always thought that this will never happen to us, but we have been scammed. A guy called Morris Motsepe ID 6805315467080 (I think its fake) and contact details 0818079771 sms'ed us claiming his sons birthday is coming up and that he wants to buy the Xbox with games for him. He asked for banking details (which we gave) and he proceeded with paying the money. He sent us the Proof of payment on sms and email,  and we handed over the goods. He didn't come to collect he sent his "gardener", Bongani, to fetch it from us at New Road Maxis. Everything felt so dodgy from the start but the little good feeling that I have left in me trusted this guy. I feel so humilated and angry and cant believe we fell for it. If only I saw the other posts earlier I would've never gave him the stuff. I do hope that they catch this guy, we are going to open a case at the police station now, I know it wont help and they not going to do anything but feels like we cant just sit back and watch this happen to other people. Please be carefull when accepting Proof of payments as payment, I know in some cases the money actually shows in your account also and then it dissapears.

Thanks so much people for bringing these things out. I think this same guy nearly conned me but am glad my kids are so clever. they asked me every time to Google the address or id, do I did and find this. same id but now he used jeremy randall id 6805315467080 proof of address 103 st johns view louis botha street, upper Houghton. I am relieved now because I could have lost my blackberry and Samsung tab 3 I am selling. Becareful. My God told me that something is wrong somewhere with the id copy.

Wow. I am glad I put that name into a google search and came across this. He contacted me regarding my Ipad but I was weary so I searched the name and this came up. Glad I did. I am not going to reply. This is why i only enter my email address and not my telephone number into online classifieds.

The same guy almost scammed me today. Same story as above. Was selling my iPhone and he emailed proof of payment, proof of residence and and ID copy. Refused to part with the phone until the amount cleared and he then said I must refund him his money. Thank God i trusted my gut feel and refused to part with the phone. He even used the gardener story as well.
