My father passed away last year and as soon as he did my step mother went to the Master of High Courts to claim his letter of executorship, but this was done and achieved by providing false information. My step mother by the name of Virginia Mhlongo, went there and told them the deceased did not have any children and parents, and that she was the only surviving sister, which entitled her to everything my father owned. I found out about this and was told to report a fraud case at the SAPS in Pretoria, and I did, the investigator handling the case was co-operative at first until he went to get the accused statement, he then changed and wasnt as responsive and co-operative as he was before, now he is telling me that the charges have to be dropped because of lack of evidence. My problem is that the have the full file that proves fraud, what other evidence are they looking for and where do i go from here? I am very concerned as we are denied acces to our late father's belongings, and monies have been claimed using the very same fraudulent letter of executorship.
