We had advertised our vehicle in the junk mail, gumtree and olx and one day we received a call from a woman by the name of Subi Govender saying that they have a potential for our black Nissan hard. She requested my fiancé to please bring the vehicle to the premises in Germiston (Motor Fair) so that the buyer can view the vehicle. My fiancé said not a problem he would bring the vehicle in. The vehicle stood at their premises for quite some time without being sold but at least the vehicle was getting exposure standing at the premises in Germiston. Then on the 18th August my fiancé received a phone from a gentlemen stating he would like to come view the vehicle as he would love to purchase the car. So my fiancé said he can go view the vehicle at Motor Fair in Germiston the gentlemen went through to view vehicle and he was interested in purchasing the vehicle as he phoned my fiancé and requested to where they could meet so they could finalize the deal. My fiancé said not a problem he would just go and collect the vehicle from Motor Fair Germiston, my fiancé the phoned Subi Govender telling he would coming through to fetch his vehicle as we had a buyer she then told my fiancé that we couldn't come fetch the vehicle as it already been sold that exact same day we wanted to collect the vehicle in the amount of R70 000.00 cash. We found it very strange but we didn't investigate further my fiancé had to go in and sign the deed of sale and then Subi Govender told my fiancé that he would have to wait 7 days before he received his money which agreed not a problem. Well 7 days ended up being 14 days and to our surprise we still hadn't received a cent for the vehicle we continuously tried phoning and no answer eventually on the 19th September my fiancé managed to get hold of Karen Wheeler the owner James Wheeler's wife that does all the payments said she had done a transfer of R20 000.00 into his bank account and the balance of the monies she would give in cash by the 24th September. Well the R20 000.00 never ever went into the bank account and after many phone calls Karen said she would then give my fiancé the R20 000.00 in cash and the balance would be in the methods of a transfer into his account. By the 25th September we were promised to be paid in full and as of today's date we still waiting for our monies for the vehicle so now we have handed the case over to our lawyers to get this matter resolve din small claims court but until then we suffer the consequences of these people taking advantage of our situation. So please people be careful when taking your vehicle to dealerships to be sold on your behalf.
