I advertised a Playstation 3 on OLX. I got a call from Anthony Mashaba who wanted to buy it for his son. He wanted to transfer the money and get the couriers to collect the items. I wanted the funds to clear in my account first before I parted with my goods. He insisted to conclude the deal same day. I agreed to meet him in hougton at Houghton Mansions cnr of Aok & Louis Botha. We were met by his "son" Brian" whom he sent to collect the goods. He send me proof of payment via email (Nedbank) and I also received an sms. The funds never cleared in my account and fortunately I never released my goods as I wanted the funds to clear first. The entire environment and set up looked suspicious and I opted out. The initially wanted to meet me at the Sasol garage in Louis Botha. I refused and still have of my goods. Beware people. They used the following numbers  0790610752 /0791559138. The "son's" name is Brian. A similar incident was posted on 5 December but then Brian was the worker and not the son.

WARNING!!!!! This man is back for more! He is now going by the name Phillip Edgards, he sent ID, proof of residence and proof of payment from NEDBANK, he was so friendly and willing to cooperate as I was selling my laptop and said he needed it for his son. I was skepticaland went to the bank to see if they could help me figure out if the proof of payment was real, they said there was no way of knowing. He originally told me to meet him in Eastgate and then changed the plan and sent an uber driver to meet me in Brooklyn mall. He then started to rushme and I was feeling very uncomfortable about the situation but then I got the sms saying payment had been done. That is where he got me and I felt like I was wrong all along and so I handed over the goods stupidly, only for me to remember afterwards that I should have checked his address before which would have taken me here. I attempted to get the uber driver to come back but he already dropped it off. I called him and told him he just stole from a student trying to pay for her education and he said he would return the laptop. I then got a call from a fake uber driver who started threatening me and saying I must pay him 1000 rand to bring the laptop back, at this point I was unaware he was fake so I said I would pay him 1000 cash at th police station which he refused cause he wanted wallet only. The NERVE! I then realised it was him trying to squeeze more out of me. The real uber driver contacted me again and has now reported him to uber.We will catch this fucker.

"Phillip" if you read this. It's over my man, we are all struggling out here. You are adding to the problem and people have had enough of your bullshit

Same number and same e-mail. Almost fell into his trap today, but I saw no stamps on the ID covering half of the foto. Then I just knew. Luckely for me the Holy Spirit warned me in time.
