I went to draw some cash from the Standard Bank ATM at Broadacres Shopping Centre on Saturday evening. I drew a very small amount of cash and then walked away from the ATM. A black male then called me back to tell me I hadn't completed my transaction. The screen said 'do you need more time?' I walked back to the ATM and another black male came forward and advised me that I needed to put my card back into the ATM to cancel the transaction. I noticed however they they kept pushing the CASHLESS TRANSACTION button and that's why the screen was saying 'do you need more time?'. I pointed this out and they then tried to grab my card and kept saying if I don't cancel the transaction the bank is going to charge me. They even commented "they are not trying to steal my money'. Luckily, I held onto my card and ran away. I went to find security and security was nowhere to be found which was hardly surprising. When driving out of the center, I noticed it was 3 black males working together. One sitting in a White Honda Jazz, one scanning the corridor and one at the ATM. All well dressed, and well spoken. Becareful when drawing money alone ladies. It wasn't even dark when this happened.
