Roux Johan Marius Potgieter Lorry Nacy

After reading all of your comments I really feel something needs to be done to this person - whoever he/she may really be.
We too fell for this disgusting scam after we ordered a doberman pinscher puppy from him - he posed as Roux Johan. As most of the above comments, we too paid a deposit of R2750.00 and the day the dog was scheduled to fly from George to Lanseria, I received a suspicious phone call from "WorldCare Pet Insurance" stating that I had to pay R6500.00 for a ventilation crate. Of course Roux Johan had put his phone off and the fake company kept mailing me, phoning me and even threatened to take me to court if I did not make the payment. I refused to pay and told them I was sending friends to fetch the puppy from the airport - they immediately dropped the call and the numbers are engaged, to this very day.
What makes me even more infuriated is the fact that a few days later, I stumbled across the name Roux Johan, who was advertising Doberman puppies on Gumtree and OLX. Both adverts had the same seller's name, only different cellphone numbers and different locations - Lichtenburg and Pietersburg, respectively.
So I avoided them and mailed other breeders. I received a reply from a Marius Potgieter. I requested that he send me proof that the dogs exist - by taking a photo of one with a recent newspaper/magazine in the picture itself. I also demanded more info: address, ID, phone numbers etc. It all seemed fine until I received his snotty reply, again with awful grammar and spelling mistakes and the name Lorry Nacy - his wife.
I really feel something needs to be done to stop this person. What can I do to help? Any suggestions?

Surely with the contact details and bank account numbers, someone should be able to trace this scammers true identity, and catch him!!!

Wow!!! Have been looking for a specific puppy, and was so grateful when i came across Marius' advert, he send me an email, and i became suspicious when his email he stated his dogs are raised in his house with his children. After googling his number i saw he "breeds" lots of different types of dogs, so how he kept them all in his house must be a miracle. Then i started comming across all his different adverts, where he is "based" all over south africa, then came across all of his scam stories, including this one. Thank you for warning me before, it is much appreciated , and scary how easy it is to be scammed.

These above also happened to my son on 12 May 2015, they got away with almost R 20 000 which was for the dog, the ventilation crate, the insurance and then the quarantine. This Lorry Nacy and Johan Roux alias Maruis Potgieter is a syndicate and scam that works together. If you put the phone number in on 0730547093, you will see how many ad's there are, which is a scam. The other number is 0606699197. People please be aware of them. We are going to make a case against them, because I believe there is allot of people that also lost allot of money. They work under the "Company" which is World Care Pet Transport

In Feb 2015 I paid R5000 for a German Shepherd and R780 for transportation from Marius-cell 0604596604 Std bank account LM Domenic - Email from Calvinia. Lorry Nancy (0730547093) then phoned me supposedly from World Care Pet Travel to say that the weather was bad and I would have to buy a special crate-R8500 (of which I would get R8200 back on delivery of dog) I stupidly paid up! (Another Std bank account - WCT Company) Then she phoned me back to say that the dog needed insurance of R15500 -then the alarm bells started ringing - but she assured me that I would get the FULL R15500 back on delivery of the dog. What insurance company works like this??? She then said that if I didn't pay the dog would have to go into quarantine!! I asked for photo of the dog taken at the airport- of course she wasn't able to do this! I then said that this sound like a scam to which she got very rude to me and this was the last I heard from them. Please do not buy any animals over the internet without doing a thorough check. Lots of people are being caught like this...Marius sounded so honest..... so sad not to be able to trust people anymore.
