The so-called Pastor Jerome IsaacsUsed the following details to claim his order for our event rental servicesmobile: 081 431 9778email: firstname.lastname@example.orgRSA ID: 7206295540087He made up a fake Standard bank Internet Proof of payment without Proof of Reference to the transaction; many indiscrepencies were picked up on the so called proof of payment which came to our attention afterwards the crime has been committed. The value of the rental service came to R8,500.00The accused is believed to be in the Phillippi, Nyanga are where he poses as Pastor Jerome Isaacs. He enquired about a marquee for 200 people to be erected at Shoprite Centre in Philippi between 1-3pm on 13 Feb 2015. We got in a third party to take on the said work and the suspicion was immediately raised when they arrived on site when nobody was on site to represent the said Pastor. When the marquee team just left site the said pastor called me on my mobile to ask that they return, the apparent person who had to be on site was just around the corner and our team did return. The accompanied pointed out the position of the tent to be erected, not exactly at Shoprite Centre. No security or perimeter fencing was provided by the Pastor as he signed for it on the contract; this raised further suspicion as the tent was erected as we call a "red-zone". Eventually when the marquee was up it stood on site without anyone making use of it pitching to claim that it is there for their purpose of development. The local Police cam by several times to warn us that tents were raised there in the past and taken down by other, meaning stolen, and the perpetrators were never located. Come Monday, Tuesday the following week, no funds were transferred to the given account; also, there seems to be no link between the ID of the person submitted and the name with the bank involved. We were caught out because we took the position of a Pastor seriously and did not check the credentials of the caller in question. The Saturday, 14 Feb 2015, the marquee company had enough interactions with the Police raising suspicions and the fact the pastor is not showing face on site was a big concern; The marquee was lowered on Saturday between 4-5pm not without resistance; on-lookers were closing off the streets where the marquee was located not allowing the driver and his staff to get off site; the police was called in again, at a fee, to remain on site while the marquee was broken down and the team was sent packing with the Police ahead and behind them!!
