I received the following message from the following nr wrt to my winning a PEPSI PROM (for R900 000.00) Ref No P286  (the same reference number as the nokia 2010.  To claim my prize I had to call SA Claims centre on number 0781632929. I phone the number and refering to the number as reference indicate I was on of 5 selected numbers who had been randomly selected and had won the indicated amount. The Lady Laurato indicated the rules by which I would have to by R1880 - 00 vodacom airtime and then phone them and give through the numbers.  But we were driving and when I got home phoned the number again and the lady again confirmed the winning and indicated my role.  I started asking her questions as to where I can confirm this on the internet and she immediately put the phone down in my ear.  Then would not pick up any calls there after from my phone.  THIS IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE NOKIA 2010 SCAM - THEREFORE PEOPLE DONT BE CAUGHT OR TRST ANY THING LIKE THIS  - THE REFERENCE NUMBER IS THE SAME WHOW..

I received the same message last night, called it and went straight to voicemail. called the number today out of curiosity, and spoke to a guy named Robert, couldnt really make out what he was saying, sounds like a nigerian... he then asked me for my reference number which i gave, then asked me to call back in 5 minutes time. i immediately googled SA Claims Centre and found this site. needless to say I WONT BE CALLING BACK!!! they are obviously aware of being reported to the police, which is why they ask if you can call back in 5 minutes time so that they cant be traced. where the heck did they get my number from. hope they cant access any banking details from where ever they got my number from!!!!!!

He said that I had to buy 3 x R275.00 Vodacome recharge vouchers and notify them of the voucher numbers whereby they would then confirm my bank account details and then the money would reflect in my account within 48 hours. • Shirley9 20 Jun 2011, 12:40 PM

I called the 0717057692, spoke to a guy by the name of Robert..gave him the reference number from my sms,he told me to drop the line & call back in 10 mins so that he can confirm my reference number. When I called later it was not answered till today!

  • Cindy de Waal 24 May 2011, 03:14 PM

I have received the same sms on Friday night - told me to give her (Lerato) my bank details to pay it into my account. I asked her for confirmation - she said she will send me a sms with details - needless to say - i am still waiting!!!

  • Raymond12 24 May 2011, 12:18 PM

I have received the same SMS as above and what I could figure out is that the lady (Lerato Mangope) is fraud because she gave me a physical address that is non existent and everytime you corner her with questions she drops the phone.
