On friday, June 1st 2012, I was approached while opening my gate by a man named Stephen who tried to sell me an apple ipod nano and a small cd player that clearly did not belong to him. He is well known in the area as a heroin addict and former dealer who begs at houses in the neighbourhood for money, and has been seen on at least three occasions looking over the perimeter walls of houses within days of the houses being robbed. I personally saw him looking over the wall of my neighbour at 60 Wesel rd the day before my neighbour's son had his laptop taken in December of 2011. The ipod he tried to sell me (and later to my neighbour) was silver, without earphones and in a silicon protective sleeve with the words"Game On" in red printed on the back. When I asked him where the ipod had come from he said he had taken it from someone who owed him money. The cd player I didn't see unfortunately, because I told him I didn't want anything to do with stolen goods, at which point he tried to sell the goods to my neighbour across the road.
