Same happened to me received sms from 0767677118 with a claim number should phone 0616855104 I did so from a different cellphone line.The o76 number was not available and the 061 number put the phone down when I told him its not my cell from where I'm phoning.

Same thing happened to me this morning. A guy named morgan answered the phone like he was half asleep and hardly knew what i was talking about. So I asked for a website address and he gave me an email address, africa@yahoo.com.... Does he think we are stupid that is a personal address has nothing to do with rica. So many questions about where I live, and the asking my cellphone number and I said no I will give you the reference number you should be able to pick everything up on there from my address to my cell phone number. He suddenly realised he was not winning and said he would call me back.

Hello i just received an sms letting me know that i won R195 000. I must send my ref no and address so that they will post my cheques. i must also buy R50 phone voucher so that they can activate my pin or something. i asked them for a landline, they could not give me. the telephone number the sms came from is 0741688053 and the sms line that i must sent information is 081 0875485. I pray the fire and judgement of God upon these scamsters. The crime squad needs to set a trap,

Haha wow, I need that chedda. I also got an sms this morning. I asked the lady to verify that its not a scam, obviously being a professional scammer she said No. Something must be done about these people, cops don't do anything. These people need Mob justice. Its a pity our knowledge of the internet is limited.

guys pls be carefull of this rica scam ,the guy calls himself william and his number is 0710816762.he said i won R450 000 on the sms but when i ask his address ,he said i am asking him a stupid question

Just got the same sms my phone has been selected by Rica to win a R250 000.00 price now like anybody else I could do with this money but know about the scams so phoned the 0218270508 number and spoke to mr. Desmond and told him I know this is a scam. He got quite arrogant and told me then why do you phone this number if you know its a scam so I told him "just to tell you that you are an arsehole" hahahaha and put the phone down on him. May that be a lesson to him.

I received sms from Rica won R35000. contact nr 0110753915 sent from 0791469539. You must buy airtime R110.00 call them with pin and serial nr give banking details and your prize will be paid in - Do not fall for this.

I to got an sms saying I've won R250000 with rica and had to sms my name,address and reference noi recived - I played along knowing its a scam then I got another sms saying I must pay 5% for insurance and transfer.a nigerian man called me and I had to call him back ,I agreed and they send me a bank account number - this must stop and its making a mokery of our country

Dear everyone. I work for a company called RICA - we sell cosmetics. We get about 20 calls a day from people wanting to claim their prizes and asking if it's a scam. How can anyone possibly think they've won a competition they have not entered for!? Of course it's a scam! Also, Cell C have been giving our number to all of these people! The rest just google RICA and don't even bother to see we're a cosmetics company!! Frustrating to explain the same thing over and over to naive people who just doesn't get it!

I too was sent a message this morning saying I've won R120000 but was told to phone there office on land lines spoke to management these guys or jackd or is there rica prizes to won. Does rica read these colums and advise. I know at some stage it was advertised that there were prizes to be 1

I was sent an SMS telling me that I won R350 000 on a live "the rica" draw. I had to contact a Mercy Johnson on 078 752 2670. Later another SMS that says a courier fee of R950 has to be paid to release the cheque. Very suspicious My contact # 084 558 1025
