Criminals on the loose stealing valuables from parked vehicles in Randburg Central.
Our car was broken into on 12/04/18 at 7pm outside Pizza Hut in a Blairegowrie. We parked & locked our vehicle & proceeded to enter the store (which is around the corner from the parking lot, so the vehicle is usually not in sight). We went in to order & wait for our food & about 10 mins later when we returned to our car we realised it was broken into & our business laptops were stolen from the boot. The rogues broke the back left passenger window, then pulled the seats down & gained access to our valuables from the boot. We were horrified! All our personal & business data is contained in these devices & it’s now all gone, how frustrating!. We asked the staff to check their CCTV footage to see which way they went & maybe if we could still catch them but unfortunately the staff does not have acces to the system & advised us to speak to the owner the following day. They also confirmed that we were not the first victims of such a crime in this particular spot & that is has been happening more often than usual. Jusy a few weeks ago the very same incident occured to another set of people. And because the parking lot is situated around with corner from where the store is, it makes it difficult to keep your eye on your vehicle. So please be vigilant. There are thieves going around stealing from parked cars in the Randburg & this spot is one of the main Hot Spots.
If you come across anyone selling an HP Envy 17inch Hd Touchscreen silver slimline laptop together with a black/red trimmed wheel bag that has a Kipling gorilla keychain & a black HP Elitebook Workstation that comes in a grey & black Targus back pack, please can you notify us immediately. I have reported the laptop to HP & its black listed & will be tracked but should you in any event come across it kindly contact Imtiaz 0784506786.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.
