Im so upset that someone is so silly as to phone the Police because his neighbor is having a braai. This guy or girl is so silly for not being invited that he or she called the cops. Im going to slaughter a sheep tomorrow and you can call the army. Bombo clat. This is Africa and you cant stop people doing their thing just because you want to eat meat which is frozen for months and another guy wants fresh meat.

Please contact your local Health Dept. as they are required to get permission to slaughter in a residential area. The SPCA will also conduct an investigation into the care of the animal and the slaughter methods.(Debbie)Contact the SPCA inspectors on 0217004158/9 or 0833261604 after hours.

Absolutely awful. I'm sure it must be against CT's health & safety rules. i phoned the SPCA last week in the evening, the voice message gives you a number to call for the Inspectorate which I did. the inspector was at my place in about an hour. 2 dogs had been running about our complex for more than a day. they had spca identipet discs with he spca number on it. I phoned the next day and both dogs were from the same home and reunited with their family. :) What about also contacting your local councillor?

Do not give up on our animals just because of other cultures.

This is the new SA. As much as you and I don't like it, it is part of someone else's culture. It is going to happen in this country for many years to come, no matter what you and I say or do.

WOW, you called 10111 and nobody picked up?? Please do call the SPCA now (during office hours) and at least tell them about it please.

  • Unknown 19 Apr 2010, 11:13 AM

Yes I did, but it went on to a voice message that notifies people of their office hours. I tried them twice. I phoned the police emrgency line on 10111 and I tried to call the Diep River Police, but they did not answer.

Did you call the SPCA on 021-700-4140? What did they say?
