Discovery Credit Card Fraud

Hello everyone,
Well not only have I been a Web Developer for years now, I am also the owner of THIS website!! So yes, I do know exactly what to look for when making payments online with my Credit Card and to prevent topics such as SCAM and FRAUD!
Such as one must look at the URL and also make sure the URL is secure by making sure the website URL starts with https:// - the s stands for secure.
I also know not to fill in forms when you get emails saying you needs to "Update your details."
I also know you must NEVER let someone walk off with your credit card when paying for something in the shops.
BUT yes!!! Last night before I went to bed I got 4 different messages saying money have been reserved for purchase!!R1785.27 reserved for purchase at Fitzgerald InnR1408.30 reserved for purchase at Grand Stay SuitR11417.68 reserved for purchase at Riviera InnR15710.73 reserved for purchase at Mandarin InnThis was on my Discovery Credit Card so I called Discovery right away on 086-011-0132 and placed a hold on my credit card. They could not reverse the transactions though and they told me to call the credit card department on 011-352-5910.
The line was so busy I called them like 4 times and not once did I get through! So I set my alarm for 11:45pm and called again.
THEN I got through! They did the reversal and this morning I got the messages on my phone where each of them have been reverse.....
Sjoe, dont know HOW that happened!!

    Yesterday my bag with all my cards was stolen from my car, possibly by jamming the remote lock. I have since managed to locate one of the stores where my discovery card was used and the owner remembered a colored woman with a white male accomplice as she had to say the card was her husband's and another store which has camera surveillance. Hopefully we can get the police to cooperate and put a stop to at least one or 2 criminals still today.

    There has got to be some way to find out how my card keeps getting cloned - i have now had to cancel my discovery credit card 3 times in the last 3 months due to card fraud!! How do i stop this?

    etienne The same happened to me on 4/4/13. I've received 4 purchases reserved on my discovery credit card. All made at a IKEA shop(overseas furniture shop)So I've also placed a hold on my card and filled out fraud form stating that those 4 transactions wasn't made by me. They got away with the R22 000 thou, but Discovery's sending me a new chip card and assured me that within 7 days I'll be refunded in full. The buggers even tried after I've blocked my card, to make a purchase again, but FNB's sent an email stating authorisation failed
