Soccer World Cup journalists robbed

A group of World Cup journalists from Portugal and Spain have been robbed at their hotel in the Magaliesburg. It is understood armed robbers broke into the lodge, north west of Johannesburg, in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Equipment, passports and cash There were no reports of injuries but the criminals allegedly fled with expensive equipment, passports and cash. One of the foreign journalists said he has friends who were caught up in the robbery. No injuries, no arrests "A group of armed men entered the hotel and started looking for valuables. They stole mostly professional equipment. Everybody is fine and no one was injured," he said. "They stole all the equipment. TVs, cameras, laptops and cell phones," another man said. "There were no injuries and no arrests as yet but we are hopeful that we will track the suspects down and arrest them," the police's Sally de Beer said.
