We met with a breeder (Milne Kite) selling English springer spaniel pups on the 3rd September. The pups were 7 weeks old and according to the breeder they were vaccinated & dewormed. When we went to fetch the 2 puppies on the 9th September, he told us he hadn't actually vaccinated the puppies yet. There were 14 puppies in the litter and he decided that the new owners could vaccinate the puppies. We took the puppies home and noticed they had diarhoea. By the following day the puppies were vomiting and not eating. We took them to our vet, and they were admitted and were on drips for 6 days. Sadly we lost both puppies. when we contacted the breeder, he told us that 6 of his puppies had died, and the rest were in hospital. In total 10 of the 14 puppies are dead, because the breeder couldn't be bothered to vaccinate his dogs.

We visited our puppies daily at the vet, but my heart breaks to think of these 2 gorgeous animals dying alone in a steel vets cage, especially when their deaths were senseless and could easily have been avoided!

Please stop this man from breaking more caring dog lovers hearts and killing more puppies.

Firstly, you really should not be supporting these back yard breeders. The SPCA and other animal welfares have SO many dogs and puppies looking for homes. By supporting these breeders, by buying animals from them, you are supporting a business of animal cruelty and neglect. To be fair, no one cares about your "dog lovers heart" being broken. You bought the puppies for YOU, a selfish move. Not to give a home to an animal in need. By purchasing animals from these irresponsible back yard breeders, you are encouraging and enabling them to continue their disgusting business. I hope you have learned from your mistakes and can move forward in the right direction. The SPCA and other animal welfares make sure the animals are vaccinated and as healthy as they can be and sterilised before they are adopted. Adoption fees are minimal.
