Mr Lee Wilson (African, e-mail:, tel: 061 474 9697) from MM Trading, "accidentally" overpaid R68000 on an invoice due to us. He send me the Standard Bank proof of payment and requested that I refund the amount to a company called Trailer Hire CC. He is very persistant that the refund be done today, but thanks to the above comments I will wait and see how this plays out.

We are also a Cape Town based company. I received a call from a Mr Lee (an African) who wants me to deliver goods to Kraaifontein. He would not give me much info but I immediately knew this was a scam and decided to google him. So glad I found this info above. He will not catch me.

Dear all, Please note that I am the head of a forensic audit company and have been mandated to investigate the fraudulent conduct of this syndicate. Of interest is that these fraudsters, in an attempt to gain credibility, used actual names and further details, unknown to the actual people referred to and this is thus another form of identity theft. All those who have been targeted, please send me a mail (anonymously, if required) to, as I would appreciate more information to ensure that they are brought to book. Your assistance is appreciated. Regards, Nico

Do not hand over any thing they are dangerous gangsters. Do not confront them or let them come to your premises as they are operating illegally. They take the goods and pay with fraudulant means and then go and sell it as new stock and then they have access to lots of cash. The stuff they trade in is all stolen. Call the police and let them be on standby when this so-called fake mt lee wants to come collect the bottles.
