Nigerian Scammers

Please be warned if you have items for sale on Olx, Gum Tree or Junk Mail that is over R2000. In October I advertised a hand made Italian leather Jacket for sale in the above three places for R3500. I was contacted by  somebody called Precious Tutu who claimed "she" lived in South Africa but had been transferred to Lagos and would like the jacket please. I told "her" to pay $380 to my Paypal and I would post the Jacket to "her". A few days later "she" told me she had paid PayPal. So I checked. No payment. So I replied there was no payment. She insisted she paid and said she would confirm it. The next day I got a "message" from "PayPal" with a detailed list of what she bought. Gobsmacked because PayPal never sends stuff like that, I sent that message to PayPal and they forwarded it to their scam dept and informed me that it was fraudulent. I agreed and  contacted Olx, Gum Tree and Junk Mail and reported the fraud to them. I then contacted the scammer and informed the scammer that I had reported him to Paypal for fraud.
I shortly got a vile message back from the scammer by then claiming himself to be Samuel James, that he will find me and make me wish I had never been born. I reported it to the police.
I put the jacket up again for sale after taking it down because I thought the above was legitimate. Yesterday I got a reply and to my shock discovered that it was the same person again! It seems he forgot what he did in August and was trying his luck again. I've reported him to the Olx team.
If anybody is selling expensive items in South Africa be warned NOT to fall for scams or people saying they are South Africans but working elsewhere in Africa.
