i Just received such message this morning,now they no longer using Nigerians because they noticed people don't believe them ,they use South African people, this lady says i have been awarded this amount of money from OMO and that its not a competition because i never entered the competition,trying to strategies. when you say they can use check delivery method,they say you must buy 180 airtime to activate your reference number, cyber crime is just getting worse now

Just received a SMS Congratulations you have won R250 000.00 from cell number 0820938171 Named Ben i did phone and you can clearly hear this is no Citizen of SA Blerrie Nigerians. When is this going to stop? My husband writes them messages back with very faul language.Nogal you must pay R3000 into his account for the cheque to be collected and delivered to you doorstep!!hahahahahahahaha

Received the SMS this morning. Same thing....won R250 000 in Omo promotion. When will these scam artists be taken to task and when will cell phone companies be 'punished' for distributing our numbers. My tablet sim gets promo messages regularly-and I have NEVER given the number out cos I dont even know it!!!

These pple who are doing this are as bad as dog coz they are abusing poor nd innocent pple.They r heartless nd componies must be sued for playing pple.i'm also a victim of these scams.they asked me to buy R150 telkom airtym i did nd i transfered it then they asked for R2785,56 for bank fee so they can diposit that amount.

Received sms stating I won R450 000 in promo of omo call no to activate prize think time consumers of South Africa to hold big companies responsible for sms that's coing around stating people won money it seems they don't do anything about this fraud I think for every 10 people there will be one that believe this emails and they will lose ther money. Coca cola nokia omo and the rica the compannys names that are used the most again law to use name of comp with out there permissions still companies doing nothing come on people let us take it on tomorrow it's maybe your family member that is goiing to falling for this fraud sceme

Another scam! This time on my 9 year old daughters phone! Omo, u must really look into this matter (bad for business)! The nr I had to call is : 0730129278! I was told my sim card won R280 000! Goodness! When is this going to end!!

I received an sms which States I have won R250000 with ref SA 614 Om with Help line 0792202775 which I called and they requested my address and names apparently this is running in conjunction with Vodacom. I questioned this woman and she became very annoyed at me asking all these questions and drop the phone another helpline no 0795380443. Do they think everybody is fools.

It seems that we all have received similar messages claiming we have won a cash prize from an OMO promotion. What I noticed as well is that all these scammers are using different cell numbers/contact numbers. For use of any sim card now a phone has to be RICA'd. Surely this would make it easier to catch these criminals... and if the rica'd information is incorrect the shop that rica'd the sim must be investigated. For sure this is a ring of scammers operating.
