The bodies of a man and three boys were found in two different streams
in Eldorado Park over the past two days, Johannesburg emergency services
Spokesman Synock Matobako said five boys were walking home from school on Wednesday when they saw a body in the stream and ran to the main road to stop a passing metro police van.
Emergency services retrieved the body, a man aged between 30 and 40, at 1.15pm at extension six, Eldorado Park.
"We can not speculate on the cause of death."
Matobako said it looked like the body had been in the water for some time. Police were investigating.
In a separate incident, the bodies of three boys, aged between 10 and 12, who drowned in extension one were also recovered.
Emergency services spokeswoman Nana Radebe said two of them were found on Wednesday morning. The first was recovered on Tuesday. A fourth boy alerted residents.
