A number of unsolicited debits were charged to my cell phone account, the first being at 02h58 on 31/12/2010. Upon enquiry my service provider informed me that it made by T-Mobile SA. I contacted T-MobileSA and was told it was because I had clicked on a link to Face Book. I accepted this as I knew I had done once or twice, and also ignored the 3 or 4 more charges I saw on my account. Then another charge was debited for which I know for certain I definitely did not subscribe to or authorise. This was @ 15:29:20 on 02/02/2011 for "InspirationalQ". I contacted TMobile again and they said they would refund me but have not done that so far. I am not concerned about the R4,39 but I am concerned about the fact that T-Mobile can just debit my account without my knowledge - as far as I am concerned that is theft and is the reason why I am reporting it. These type of companies can be doing this daily to thousands of people and "earning" plenty of money through this dishonest business practice. I have also informed Consumer Protection but do not know if they received my message.
